First V8 build completed & Spec Miata repair

The first Trackspeed Engineering LSx swapped Miata departed for Texas hours after we completed the build on Friday and made it there successfully with no issues!

He took off so soon after we completed the build that we weren't even able to get any pictures/video of it complete with the exception of this one video:

In other news, Nick's Spec Miata was wrecked last race only a couple of laps after a fantastic start (qualified 14th of 56 and was in 6th by turn 2). When coming around turn 11 at Thunderhill, Nick found Tommy O spinning directly in front of him and in an attempt to swerve and avoid Tommy, Nick ended up sliding into him. After a quick 3 hour scramble, Nick had gone to impound, swapped out the rear subframe and entire passenger rear suspension, and dropped the car off to get an alignment. For the second race of the weekend, Nick qualified 8th but due to SCCA starting the race a couple minutes early, did not make it to grid on time and had to start dead last (47th). In only four laps, Nick moved up twenty positions to a position of 27th during the 5th lap where he was hit in the passenger rear entering turn 9 and spun. The right rear tire was then contacting the body so he had to come in early and not finish the race. The car is essentially totaled, so we will be swapping everything over to a new tub in the coming weeks.
